PURPOSE:To perform the reliable feeding of parts, by setting a guide arm which is extended along the feed rod's advancing direction, and setting a detecting apparatus which detects the passing of parts which are held stably by the feed rod, on the said guide arm. CONSTITUTION:The front one of parts 7, such as nuts, which have been fed from a parts feeder to a feed head 1, through a feed pipe 6, is attracted and held by a magnet 8 in a provisional detaining room. When a feed rod 9 is moved downward by an air cylinder, in the said situation, the nut 7 is held as a small diameter guide part 11 of the feed rod 9 is inserted in a screw hole of the nut 7, fed on a steel plate 14 on a fixed electrode 13, and is positioned as it is fitted on a pin 15. On this occasion, whether the nuts 7 feeding is performed or not is detected by a detecting apparatus 23, which is formed of such as a limit switch on the top of a guide arm 18 set on the feed head 1, and the reliable nut welding work can be performed, by controlling the operation of a movable electrode 16 according to the output of the detecting apparatus 23. |
