PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of a sensor by stabilizing the conductivity due to the contact between particles of a conductive powder, by covering the upper part of the conductive powder with an insulating powder and squeezing a metal case to compress and fix the same under high pressure through the insulating powder. CONSTITUTION:The internal electrode 2 of a tubular body 1 comprising of a zirconia solid electrolyte has a lead wire 8 connected to the leading-out part thereof by high temp. solder 7 and the periphery thereof is solidified by an inorg. adhesive 6. On the other hand, the space between an external electrode 3 and a metal case 4 is filled with a conductive powder 5 which is, in turn, compressed to be contacted with the electrode 3 and the case 4 under pressure while the space formed by the powder 5, the case 4 and the inorg. adhesive 6 used in solidifying the periphery of the internal electrode leading-out part is filled with an insulating powder 9 and the opening part of the case 4 is squeezed under predetermined pressure to compress the powder 5 under high pressure. Therefore, the electrode 3 and the case 4 maintain a good continuity state through the powder 5 and the powder 9 perfectly blocks the adhesive 6 from the powder 5. |
