PURPOSE:To keep stable operation even after the processing of ghost elimination by using respectively a signal including the original ghost at the start of eliminating processing and a signal after processing when the eliminating processing is progressed as an input signal of a synchronizing signal generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit 15 is provided to a pre-stage of a synchronizing signal generating circuit 8, a video detection output signal A is applied as an input signal to the switching circuit 15 and also a signal B via the ghost eliminating processing is applied as input signals of the switching circuit 15, and when the ghost eliminating processing is started, the original signal A is outputted and after the processing is progressed, the signal B after processing is outputted and fed to the next stage. The control switched to the signal B after processing is conducted when the signal B after processing enters the stable state by the result of operation of an operating circuit 10.
