In a control valve for power- assisted steering systems with an unbalanced working cylinder, a differential pressure in the two working cylinders (11, 11') of the unbalanced working cylinder is obtained by two throttles (16a, 16b). One throttle (16a) is arranged between a branch point (13) of a pipe (10) from a flow control edge (9) to the smaller surface working chamber (11) and a return pipe (15). The other throttle (16b) which may be of equal or unequal size to the throttle (16a), is arranged downstream of a flow pipe (8) of the working medium and upstream of a branch point (13') of a pipe (10') leading to the larger surface working chamber 11' or to a control edge (14'). The throttles may be constrictions in the pipes (10, 10'), or attached directly to the pistons (4), or machined into a bore surface of the valve housing. The throttles may be annular, bevel-shaped or of planar construction. <IMAGE> |
