PURPOSE:To improve machining workability, by obtaining a machining device which cuts end faces to be cut of a needle butt in a needle obtained by punching while at least one cutting tool rotated through a cam surface is guided along said end face to be cut. CONSTITUTION:This device, suitable for cutting end faces 26 to be cut of a needle butt 10 protruded to the upper of a needle 9 obtained by punching by inserting it to be chucked in a holding fixture 7, has a disk cam 35 fixed by a nut 33 to a supporting arm 32. While the device respectively supports tool holding members 44 through a pair of inverted U-shaped spring legs 39 to bearing pieces 38 mounted so as to surround said cam 35, providing in each holding member 44 a supporting arm 45 which axially rotatably supports a spindle 46 of a milling cutter 31. Then the device causes each holding member 44 to adapt each roller 50 to a cam 51 by urging force of a spring 52, rotating the milling cutters 31 by the turning effect of a shaft 71 through bevel gears 72, 73 and belt transmission devices 47. |
