PURPOSE:To realize a detection method and a detection apparatus satisfied in various conditions such as high speed response, low speed region stability or high resolving power, by containing an AC component in the drive current of a magnetic sensor and extracting the amplitude value of the output signal to perform signal processing. CONSTITUTION:An AC current is supplied to the emitter E of a transistor two- dimensional magnetic sensor 1 having plural collector pairs C1, C2 and C3, C4 and detecting the magnetic field of an object to be detected over two dimensions. In the next step, output differences of the collector pairs are calculated and the phase of one difference output is shifted while the signal after shifting is added to the different output of the collector pair not shifted in a phase. By performing the synchronous detection of the signal after addition,the orientation of the vector magnetic field of the object to be detected is calculated. |
