PURPOSE:To enable to manufacture a molded article with high surface hardness with no necessity of application of ultraviolet-ray irradiation by a method wherein a gelcoat layer is formed by heating polyfunctional acrylate resin and thermosetting resin, both of which are coated onto the surface of a molding tool in the order named. CONSTITUTION:Releasing agent, polyfunctional acrylate resin 2 and thermosetting resin 3 are coated onto the surface of a molding tool 1 in the order named with no intermission. After that, a hardened layer with the hardness of the same level as that obtained by ultraviolet curing is obtained by heating as the result of the curing after the progress of gelling reaction of said resins 2 and 3 by heating. Because the polyfunctional acrylate resin is held between the molding tool and the thermosetting resin so as to be completely shut off from the air and consequently able to be cured by heating, the ultraviolet-ray irradiation is made unnecessary and consequently the installation cost can be reduced and at the same time the enhancement of surface hardness is easily realized. |
