OPTICAL INTEGRATION TYPE CORRELATOR

摘要

PURPOSE:To realize relatively simple constitution and to attain size reduction by arranging a surface acoustic wave generating means so that a surface acoustic wave which operates mutually on collimated light propagated in a semispheric light guide is generated. CONSTITUTION:The semispheric light guide 11 is formed on a substrate 10. A light source 21 such as semiconductor laser is arranged at a peripheral edge 12 (corresponding to a point P) of this semispheric light guide 11a and light emitted by the light source 21 is incident on the semispheric light guide 11a and propagated in the light guide 11a. The light from the light source 21 is collimated at the bottom part of the semispheric light guide 11a, so Bragg diffraction is caused if there is an SAW and this diffracted light is converged on a point different from a point on the peripheral edge 12. The diffracted light is further passed through a spatial filter 27 provided to the peripheral edge 12, collimated by a waveguide lens 28,and inputted to a photodetector array 24.
