PURPOSE:To establish the technique for changing the width and thickness of a hoop and to improve the versatility and working efficiency of a casting machine by providing a device for moving cooling rolls in an axial direction and a device for attaching and detaching the spacing between the cooling rolls. CONSTITUTION:A shift cylinder 5 is driven to move a cooling roll 1 in an axial center direction and while the barrel guide 7 and side guide 8 on the roll 1 side are held in sliding contact with the side guide 8 and barrel guide 7 on a cooling roll side 2, said guides are moved in the axial center direction of the roll, i.e., in the width direction of a hoop, in the case of changing the width of the hoop. Pressing-down cylinders 6, 6 are driven to move the roll 2 toward the roll 1 side in the case of changing the thickness of the hoop. Cylinders 11, 11 are driven respectively in the required directions in synchronization with the cylinders 6, 6 so that the side guides 8, 8 maintain the contact state with the barrel guides 7, 7 and the contact state with the roll surfaces. |
