PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a plane extracting circuit by providing a triangle plane deciding section and a normal calculating section or the like to form surely a surface model from a wire frame model. CONSTITUTION:Optional adjacent three apexes forming the wire frame model stored in the storage section of a plane extracting circuit and a triangle plane decided by the three apexes are set by an initial plane setting section 2. The triangle plane is decided by a triangle plane deciding section 3 by using other apexes except the said three apexes connected to one apex in the three apexes of the triangle plane set by the setting section 2. The normal of the triangle plane decided in such a way is calculated by the normal calculating section 4 and whether or not the normal of the triangle plane calculated by the calculation section 4 is coincident with the normal of the triangle plane set by the setting section 2 is discriminated by a normal discriminating section 5. Then whether the discrimination of the triangle plane of all face sets of the model stored in the storage section is finished is decided by a set preparation deciding section 6 so as to simplify the constitution of the plane extracting circuit. |
