PURPOSE:To perform working with high accuracy at a high speed by changing over automatically the continuous wave of a laser beam and working with pulses according to working speeds. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic circuit 1 for vector detects the speeds Vx, Vy in the X- and Y-axis directions of a working table and calculates a vector speed V. The value to be preset of the speed V is set in a 0.5-2m/min. An oscillator 4 is so controlled by a non-linear amplifier 2 and an operational amplifier 5 according to the signal from the circuit 1 as to change the peak value of the laser output as a function of the speed V when the speed V is larger than the preset value. The oscillator 4 is controlled by the amplifier 2 and a pulse width control circuit 3 with the laser output as a pulse and the average output as a function of the speed when the speed V is smaller than the preset value. The laser beam of which the average power is proportional to the working speed is outputted by the above-mentioned method, by which the high accuracy working is automatically accomplished. |
