PURPOSE:To prepare an NC tape excellent in operability by displaying a tool passage in a display unit distinguishing it from actual tool passage out of work prohibition area even when an internally formed tool passage advances into the work prohibition area. CONSTITUTION:When area work data are inputted, a processing device 103 prepares NC data for area working under a controlling program stored in an ROM104. In the case where an island part enclosed by a closed curve InC is not considered, the device 103 recognzes that the tool passage TP is OFC1-PK1- OFC2-PK2-OFCn from starting point Ps1 of area working. The device 103 reads out the passage TP successively from an RAM102, and judges whether it intersects a curve INF. If it does not intersect, NC data for cutting are prepared and stored in an RAM105 and displayed in a display unit 106. If it intersects, the device 103 stores NC data for cutting from the starting point to the point of intersection, and displays the passage to the point of intersection by a soild line, and the passage therefrom to the end point by a dotted line. |
