<p>PURPOSE:To expand a pipe by a desired amount in a short time by attaching a cooling jacket that limits plural chambers on the outer peripheral face of a pipe on both sides of a part to be expanded locally, and a cooling liquid in the pipe by supplying coolant successively from the outer chamber. CONSTITUTION:The cooling jacket 1 is attached on both sides of the part to be expanded of the pipe 9, and the inside thereof is partitioned into chambers, A, B, C. A coolant is circulated in the chamber A which is farthest from the part to be expanded, and an ice chamber 14 is formed by the cooling liquid in the pipe 9. Then, the coolant is circulated in the chamber B to make an ice chamber 15, and the pipe 9 is expanded in some degree by the pressure of the liquid between the ice chambers 15. Further, the coolant is circulated in the chamber C to form a wedgelike ice chamber 20. The pipe 9 can be expanded efficiently by a desired amount by the pressure of the liquid caught by the ice chamber 20, and consumption of the coolant is small.</p> |
