PURPOSE:To achieve an efficient operation by controlling the coolant temperature of a cooling tower and by effectively using a small size inverter. CONSTITUTION:When a selector switch is normally placed in contact with point A, the temperature of coolant at its outlet is detected by a sensor 2 and sent to a temperature controller 4. The temperature controller 4 outputs a signal to an inverter 5 in proportion to the difference from a set target temperature after changing into an electric current signal of, for instance, 0-8V. Upon receiving said signal, the inverter 5 transforms the three-phase, 200V, 50/60Hz electric current via a power source 3, a non-fuse breaker 31 and an electromagnetic contact 32 into a 0-40/48 frequency, which is then supplied to motor 11 via an eddy current relay 33. The motor 11 can continuously control the coolant temperature in response to the coolant temperature at the outlet by driving a blower to send the air which cools the coolant in a cooling tower 1 by the air-liquid contact, and so, the constant coolant temperature can efficiently be obtained. |
