PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of the titled turbine nozzle vane by subjecting the turbine nozzle vane to cementation and thereafter further subjecting the nozzle vane to boride coating treatment in a reducing bath using ferrosilicon. CONSTITUTION:The turbine nozzle vane 1 is fabricated by machining precision casting, and is subjected to cementation. Thereafter, the nozzle vane 1 is dipped in an electrolytic cell in which ferrosilicon is added to anhydrous borax to coat the nozzle vane 1 with boride. Then, the nozzle vane 1 is subjected to oil hardening and tempering. As a result, the corrosion resistance of the nozzle vane can be improved because the synergistic effect of boron carbide is added to the boride coating. |
