NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (M is at least one selected from alkali metal groups; Z1 and Z2 are 2-5C straight chain alkylene or 2-5C straight chain alkylene in which H is substituted by a substituent group such as a halogen, alkyl group or formula II; n is an integer 2-5). USE:Capable of stabilizing polyacetylene by complexing with the n-doped polyacetylene. The polyacetylene stabilized by the above-mentioned method has very stable electrochemical reversibility, and excellent as a negative pole active material in a nonaqueous secondary battery and solid electrolytic secondary battery. PREPARATION:An organometallic complex obtained from an alkali metal and an aromatic hydrocarbon is reacted with a cyclic carbonic acid ester compound of formula III (Z is 2-5C straight chain alkylene, or 2-5C straight chain alkylene in which H is substituted by a substituent group such as a halogen, alkyl group, etc.) to give the aimed orthoester derivative of formula I .
