PURPOSE:Luffa tea having improved preventing effect on side effects of steroid drug, inhibitory effect on fatness, obtained by steaming or boiling thin pieces of raw leaves and/or stalks of luffa in the case of necessity, frying and rubbing them, followed by drying them. CONSTITUTION:Raw leaves and/or stalks or luffa are cut into thin pieces, washed with water, steamed or boiled in the case of necessity, softened, fried at about 200-300 deg.C. As the fried leaves, stalks, etc. are pressed lightly by a machine or hands, the raw materials are rubbed each other and scrubbed. The scrubbed leaves, stalks, etc. are dried by the sun or by sending hot air, the dried matter is used as an essential component, and it is blended with ginseng powder, tea of Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino, oolong tea, green tea, adlay tea, etc. to give the desired luffa tea. The prepared luffa tea has clear green apperance, aroma, and sweetness. |
