PURPOSE:To perform safe and efficient operation to join together two floating box bodies, by a method wherein the dovetail tenon and the dovetail groove of the two floating box bodies spaced close to each other are mated with each other, buoyancy of the two floating box bodies are regulated, and the two floating box bodies are equalized in a draft line. CONSTITUTION:A divetail tenon 3 and a dovetail groove 4 of two floating box bodies 2 and 1 spaced close to each other are mated with each other, buoyancy of the two floating box bodies 1 and 2 is regulated, the two floating box bodies 1 and 2 are equalized in a draft line, and the two floating box bodies 1 and 2 are temporarily joined with each other. A cut-off material 6 attached to the floating box body 1 is present between the two floating box bodies 1 and 2, and thereby cut-off is effective at a gap between the joints of the two floating box bodies 1 and 2. After sea water in the gap between the joints of the two floating box bodies 1 and 2 is drained, sheaths 7 and 8 embedded in the two floating box bodies 1 and 2 are joined together. After a PC steel material is set in the sheaths 7 and 8, the gap between the joints of the two floating box bodies 1 and 2 is filled with a hardener, and after the hardener is hardened, a prestress is guided in the PC steel material. |
