PURPOSE:A yarn cooling plate is set between the twist-setting heater and the false twister in the false-twisting machine to blow the air to the yarn running between them to enable high-quality yarns to be produced, even when the twisting speed is increased. CONSTITUTION:A yarn-cooling plate 5 is set on the yarn-running path between the twist-setting heater 2 and the false twister 6 in the false twisting machine. The cooling plate 5 is connected through pipe 7 to the air cooler 18 and the fan 19 and the fan feeds the air, which is cooled in the air cooler 18 and sent to the plate 5. The yarn-cooling plate 5 is formed in a hollow pipe which has a U- shaped groove for passing the yarn on the lower surface and openings on both ends 21. A plurality of small holes 22 are opened in a series on the bottom surface of the yarn-passing grooves from which a part of cooling air is blown out. |
