PURPOSE:A hair tonic effective especially for male alopecia such as young and manhood alopecia, etc., containing chlormadinone acetate as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A hair tonic containing about 0.1-0.5wt% chlormadinone acetate shown the formula well-known as a remedy for prostatic hypertrophy, prostatic carcinoma, etc. as an active ingredient. The hair tonic can be processed into a state suitable for an ordinary hair cosmetic, especially a state of solution, by adding a diluent, cream base, etc. to the active ingredient, and further may be blended with other auxiliaries, a dyestuff, perfume, etc. which are useful for hair cosmetic. When it is used, 0.02-0.1ml of the hair tonic based on 1cm<2> scalp is applied once - several times daily after hair washing or before sleeping at night. It is not observed to have side effects and toxicity. |
