PURPOSE:To eliminate the stored error voltage by subtracting the error voltage equivalent to two tracks when the stored error voltage exceeds a fixed threshold level. CONSTITUTION:The loci of magnetization are shown by A1, B1..., and a state (c) shows that the actual tape speed is lower than the expected speed. The voltage applied to a bimorph 17 is set at O in the 1st scan, and the voltage equivalent to 0.5TP (track pitch) is applied to the bimorph 17 in the 2nd scan to perform a scan on a track A2. The errors are gradually stored, and the bimorph applied voltage corresponding to an arrow head is stored to a memory circuit. When a head 18 reaches a position 39 with application of the 2TP threshold voltage, the value obtained by subtracting the 2TP potential from the bimorph applied voltage is applied to the bimorph 17 in the next scan mode 40 to set the head at a position 41. Therefore A5 is scanned again after scanning A1-A5, and then A6 is scanned. |
