PURPOSE:To make a convergence adjustment speedily with high precision by projecting a crosshatching pattern which is divided into R, G, and B on the effective screen of a color CRT to be adjusted, and making the adjustment by an adjusting operator over a look at the picture projected on a color monitor so that center axes of divided bright lines of R, G, and B are aligned to one another. CONSTITUTION:A signal generator 2 generates signals required to project the crosshatched pattern divided into R, G, and B on the effective screen of the color CRT1 to be adjusted. A color television camera 3 which shoots closely and enlarges plural points on the effective screen of said CRT1 consists of nine cameras 3-1-3-9, and a color monitor 4 on which the output of the camera is projected consists of monitors 4-1-4-9 on which picture planes of the cameras 3-1-3-9 are projected respectively. The adjusting operator observes deviation of center axes of bright lines of R, G, and B projected on the color monitors 4-1- 4-9 to grasp the deviation of convergence, and adjusts the magnet of the color CRT1 so that their center axes are aligned to one another, thus making the convergence adjustment with high precision.
