摘要 PURPOSE:To perform frame image processing without using any mechanical shutter by providing two sequences of longitudinal transfer CCDs for respective fields so as to transfer a photoelectric conversion signal obtained at a photodetection part, and transferring transfer signals from those two sequences of longitudinal transfer CCDs to horizontal transfer CCDs alternately. CONSTITUTION:A set of photodiode elements D11-Dmn constitutes the photodetection part and respective elements generate charges corresponding to their quantities of photodetection. A couple of longitudinal transfer CCDs are provided to photodetecting element arrays L1-Ln consisting of photodiode elements D11-Dm1 arrayed longitudinally. Namely, Rvn and Rvn' are longitudinal transfer CCDs for charge transfer in two sequences provided for the photodetecting element array Ln; Rvn is in charge of odd- field data transfer and Rvn' is in charge of even-field data transfer. Then, the exposure time (charge storage time) corresponding to the quantity of photodetection is calculated firstly by automatic exposure control operation to accumulate charged corresponding to the quantity of photodetection in the photodetection part only for the exposure time. The charges stored in the photodetection part are transferred to longitudinal transfer CCDs. Thus, image signals of all picture elements are fetched in longitudinal transfer CCDs. In this way, one-frame image data processing is completed.
