PURPOSE:To prevent an inverse ionization phenomenon, to maintain fine particle collecting effect and to enhance safety, by flowing high humidity air into a part receiving the discharge current of a dust collecting electrode. CONSTITUTION:High humidity air outflow parts 3 and high humidity air stream fine gaps 4 are provided to the air inflow side end part of the dust collecting electrodes 2 provided to the discharge part of an air purifier. By this structure, because the inherent resistance of fine particles accumulated to said part is lowered, an inverse ionization phenomenon is prevented and fine particle collecting effect is held while safe operation is enabled.
