PURPOSE:To easily and quantitatively determine the positions of printing as well as permit printing on small commercial films by greatly reducing the intervals of printing by a system in which high-speed turning actions are added to printing speed turning actions and stopping actions. CONSTITUTION:A printer is provided with a rotary head 30 with a printing base 19 for printing on moving films 34, drivers 17, 18 and 21 for these, a printing position setting switch 4 to set up desired printing positions, and a counter to send out signals when the film 34 reaches printing positions, together with a film speed detector 1, a detector 7 for register mark on a film, and a cam detector 12 to send out first and second signals on whether the printing base 19 is at a printing angle. The actions of the drivers for the rotary head 30 involve three actions such as printing speed turning action (the same as film speed) for printing, high-speed turning action for reducing the printing interval, and stopping action till the startup of next printing. |
