PURPOSE:To enable to obtain the sufficient contacting of a recovered developer and a newly replenished toner by providing a toner replenishing means in a manner as to drop the toner to be replenished to the upward part of a developer recovery route. CONSTITUTION:The developing sleeve 12 having finished developing of the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 rotates further and delivers the developer having consumed the toner to the 1st scooping sleeve 13. The sleeve 13 further transfers this developer to the 2nd scooping sleeve 14. On the other hand, the toner particles in a toner replenishing tank 19 falls into a housing 11 along with the rotation of a replenishing roller 20 and contacts much of the developer which is being carried in the narrow clearance A along the surface of the sleeve 14 in the direction opposite from the dropping direction, whereby it is electrostatically adsorbed and the toner particles having failed to be captured there fall further down to the neighborhood B of the rotating locus of the sleeve 12, and are scooped by sticking to the developer of the sleeve 12 revolving in the direction reverse to the falling direction. |
