A manually actuated locking device, which is actuated from outside the door after the input of a predetermined code, is presented. Directly mechanical actuation is provided from inside the door. If required, the inner actuating part can be uncoupled from the cylinder axle and be fixed in this uncoupled position by a cover plate to be pivoted in. The cover plate can be pivotable by key actuation and be lockable in its covering position. The entire region of the lock critical for security is covered on the outside of the door by a steel plate screwed inwards and protected against drilling out. Inversions with a two-axle coupling device, the entire region of the lock critical for security is then covered, without any orifice, in a manner protected against drilling out. <IMAGE>
