The endoprosthesis comprises a femoral part whose skids which are supported on sliding surfaces on both sides of a central web of the tibial part are provided at the front with a bridging and on the inside with arched guide grooves facing each other. The ends of a peg mounted transversely in the web of the tibial part engage in the guide grooves which are upwardly open at the rear. The bridging of the skids is provided with a releasable stop the end of which comes to rest against the web of the tibial part during a maximum permissible bent position and prevents further bending, that is to say, the ends of the peg mounted in the tibial web always remain in the guide grooves of the skids.
