PURPOSE:To permit blushing with surpassing heat resistance and other qualities and to permit heat treatment in a short time without causing deformation and without the use of a special core by performing blushing in two stages for the upper and the side portions of the mouth. CONSTITUTION:In the first stage, a polyethylene phthalate container 1 is put into the container revolving transfer device 24 in a condition in which the former is enclosed with the exception of its mouth 2, and it is transferred on the designated track while revolving, and by passing under the heating mechanism 10 for the upper portion of the mouth, the adjacent areas of the upper edge of the mouth is uniformly blushed. By this blushing of the upper edge 5 an overall deformation is prevented in the subsequent process of blushing of the side 4 of the mouth. Then, in the second stage, the heat source is changed to the side heating mechanism 11 and the side 4 of the mouth 2 is blushed by heat treatment and the insufficient blushing of the side of the mouth in the first stage is corrected. As stated above, the divided heat treatments result in a satisfactory performance of blushing of the whole area of the mouth without using a special core and in a short time. |
