PURPOSE:To obtain a white-balance adjusted signal even from a recording medium on which a signal is recorded without white balance adjustment by detecting a color difference signal recorded on the recording metium by a reproducing device or color temperature information in photography, and making a white balance adjustmemt. CONSTITUTION:When the recording medium is loaded in the reproducing device to reproduce still pictures, a Y signal and a color difference signal R-Y are obtained firstly by a reproduced signal processing circuit 401. Then, a low frequency component YL whose band matches with that of the color difference signal is obtained by an LPF402 from the obtained Y signal. This component YL is amplified by a gain control type amplifier 403 and added to a color difference signal <R-Y> by an adder 404. At this time, a control signal generator 405 controls the gain of the gain control type amplifier to obtain a white-balance adjusted signal at the output of the adder 404. A color difference signal B-Y is also obtained similarly by controlling the gain of an amplifier 406 with the output signal of a control signal generator 408 and making the output signal of an adder 407 as the sum of the output signal of the amplifier 406 and a color different signal <B-Y> into a white-balance adjusted signal. |
