PURPOSE:To increase a damping force ratio between compression and extension strokes by installing a valve-mechanism greatly changing magnitude of damping force in the compression-extension strokes. CONSTITUTION:A bottom valve mechanism 10 is installed in the lower part of cylinder 2, and a by-pass oil path 11a communicated with a loop oil path DELTAS is also installed in the valve seat member 11 of the valve-mechanism 10. The by- pass oil path 11a is opened and closed by a cylindrical spool 15 which is fitted into the valve seat member 11 and whose top end comes into contact with the lower face of a valve seat 14. Since the spool 15 is interlocked with the valve seat 14, it opens the by-pass oil path 11a when the valve seat 14 is pressed against the top face of the valve seat member 11 in the compression stroke. Also, when the valve seat 14 ascends in the extension stroke, the spool 15 also simultaneously ascends and closes the by-pass oil path 11a. Oil from the loop oil path DELTAS opens valve 17 for generating damping force and flows. Thus, the damping force ratio between the compression and extension strokes can be greatly increased. |
