PURPOSE:To exactly hold types by providing pieces to operate a demagnetizing sensor when a type bar actuating lever is returned and also to operate a magnetizing sensor when types are pushed up into the type insertion hole to a type push-up lever. CONSTITUTION:On the push-up portion 5' of a type push-up lever 5, types 4 in a type board 3 are pushed up into the type insertion hole 9 of a type bar 6 and inserted into the hole 9. Whereupon, a solenoid 42 is excited by an action piece 46 through a sensor 45, and a type holding lever 18 is moved in a rocking manner by the force of a spring 32 through a crank 37 and a slide lever 33. The two sides 25 and 26 of the projection 28 are coupled with the two sides 23 and 24 of the neck 22 of the type 4 for holding. When the type bar 6 is returned, the solenoid 42 is released through the sensor 48 by the action piece 49 of an actuating lever 44 and the holding of the type by the lever 18 is released. The holding of the types can thus be exactly made to raise the efficiency of printing. |
