<p>Sealing rings (A) for ladle preheaters. The rings (A) may be either fixedly or removably mounted with the ladle preheater frame (10). The rings (A) seal about the ladle rim (R) adjacent burner and flue openings (18) and (20) of the preheater. Refractory fiber insulation (24) is provided for insulating the space between the rim (R) of the ladle (L) and the preheater to prevent hot gas escaping. The refractory fiber (24) is arranged into trepezoidal units (I) which are easily installed and replaced.</p> |
