A distribution strip having a number of connecting terminals and having voltage-surge suppressors fitted in a magazine is provided for electrical systems, especially telephone systems. A particularly compact and space-saving construction is achieved using parts which can be plugged together in a cost-effective manner in that a lower part (1), which is equipped with means (2, 4) for mounting on a supporting rail (3), is connected by latching means to an upper part (9) which is provided with plugged-in connecting terminals (10). A magazine (20) having voltage-surge suppressors (23) is likewise mounted by means of a latching connection on the longitudinal side and vertically thereon. An additional connecting terminal (10) in the upper part (9) and an earthing spring (5), in the form of a wire, in the lower part (1) are constructed and arranged such that the earthing rail (28) of the magazine (20) is electrically connected via them to the supporting rail (3). <IMAGE>
