A device is described, which can facilitate and accelerate the installation and removal of window, door and gate frames. In the case of window, door and gate frames made of sheet metal and other weldable materials, the holding device can be welded onto the rear side of the frame. In the case of plastic, wood and aluminium frames, the support plate (2) is screwed onto the frame or built into the frame (4). By turning the screw (3), the pressure piece (1) is pressed against the building-side door, gate or window opening and thus holds the door, gate or window frame in position (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
