PURPOSE:To obtain a lithographic printing original stencil having a high printing durability and capable of giving high-quality printing free of ground staining by using a picture-receiving layer composed primarily of a resin with a specific acid anhydride ring structure in a direct-drawing type of lithographic printing original stencil. CONSTITUTION:A solution of a resin with a partly opened acid anhydride ring structure in an organic solvent is coated on a supporter, e.g., paper, resin-impregnated paper, plastic film, etc., dried and heat-treated to form a picture- receiving layer by bridging reaction of the opened ring portion. As the resin with the acid anhydride ring structure, copolymers containing maleic anhydride as a copolymer component may be cited. The picture-receiving layer may contain other resins and a mat-forming agent. In the lithographic printing original stencil so obtained, pictures are formed by an oily ink, etc., and then non-picture portion is subjected to a hydrophilicity-forming treatment using an alkaline solution to make it hydrophilic. |
