The invention relates to a prosthetic intermediate piece for a bone, especially an arthrodesis rod or an intermediate piece for a tumour prosthesis, essentially comprising two prosthesis sections which are essentially aligned with one another, are arranged at a mutual spacing and are to be connected to one another at their end sections facing each other by means of a threaded, rod-shaped connecting section (= connecting rod), and which each have on their opposite, free end section a stem section to be inserted in the bone tube (= medullary canal) of the bone in question and to be anchored therein, the connecting rod being provided with a screw thread on one of its end sections only, which screw thread is screwed in a manner known per se into a threaded bore in the prosthesis section concerned, whereas the other (second) end section of the connecting rod is to be connected with the other profiled section without a screw thread. <IMAGE>
