PURPOSE:To permit high-quality print recordings to be performed by preventing the transference of fillers in an ink layer to the surface of a recording paper by a method in which at the time of thermal transfer recording, immediately before ink sheet is peeled off from the recording paper after the transfer recording, the ink sheet is reheated. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper 2 and an ink sheet 1 are pressed together by a thermal head 3 and a pressure roller 4 for transfer recording on the recording paper 2 by means of the thermal head 3, and immediately before the recording paper 2 is separated from the ink sheet 1 by a separation roller 5, the ink sheet 1 is reheated by a heater. The heating temperature is controlled to about 60 deg.C, lower than the melting point of a fatty acid amide, when a fatty acid amide of a low melting point (77 deg.C), for example, is used in the ink layer. Also, a heating part may be buried in one of paired separation rollers. |
