PURPOSE:To control the operation of a compressor in a good efficiency by altering the current limit value flowed to an inverter in response to the peripheral temperature. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral temperature of an inverter 3 is detected by temperature detecting means 15, and inputted to a controller 16. The controller 16 compares a current detection signal with a reference signal in response to a temperature signal. Since the controller of this air conditioner varies the reference signal compared with the current value signal from current detecting means in response to the peripheral temperature of the inverter 3, when the peripheral temperature of the inverter is high, the reference signal is low, while when the peripheral temperature is low, the reference signal is high. Thus, when the peripheral temperature is high, protecting function acts at the low current value, and when the peripheral temperature is low, the function acts at the high current value, thereby efficiently controlling a compressor. |
