A copying machine is provided with a roller unit (24) which has a drive roller (16) and an idling deflecting roller (17) which is essentially parallel to said drive roller. The roller unit (24) is mounted on an end of the rollers in a housing of the copying machine. An endless photoreceptor strip (4) is mounted on the rollers (16, 17). The housing is provided with a cover (26) which can be folded between an applied position and a removed position. In the applied position of the cover (26), the other end of the roller unit (24) is held by the cover (26), while it is free in the removed position of the cover (26), so that when the cover (26) is open the endless photoreceptor strip (4) can be removed therefrom in the axial direction of the rollers (16, 17) or can be pushed onto the latter. <IMAGE>
