发明名称 SUPERCONDUCTIVE LOGICAL GATE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductive logical gate using a Josephson junction which responds to an input signal with the opposite polarity of a bias signal with high precision, but does not respond to an input signal having the same polarity. CONSTITUTION:A bias signal IJS [in a region below a straight line (B) in a figure] having a smaller signal level than the critical current of the junction J is applied to a bias terminal 1. In this state, when the input signal having the same polarity with the bias signal IB is applied to an input terminal 2, the majority of the input signal flows to the ground side through a resistance RS and the remainder flows through the junction J in such a direction that it cancel the bias signal; and the junction J does not switch and only a small signal corresponding to the potential rise at a part RS appears at an output terminal 3. On the other hand, when the input signal having the opposite polarity of the bias signal is applied to the input terminal 2, the current flows through the junction J in the same direction with the bias current and they are superposed one over another, so the junction J has voltage transition to obtain high resistance, thereby obtaining an output signal with a large amplitude from the output terminal 3.
