The invention relates to a prefabricated stairway structure (18) which is made up of a multiplicity of stairs (19 to 31). Each stair has a horizontal tread (3) and a vertical riser (4) formed thereon. The bearing surfaces (12, 14), which are directed towards one another and transversely with respect to the flight of stairs, of neighbouring stairs are inclined towards the rear side of the respective riser. The stair structure has at least one winding section (17), the stairs of which extend in each case over a region of 15 to 20 DEG . It is thus possible to vary the rise of the stair, e.g. between 17 and 20 cm per stair, even in the region of said winding section. <IMAGE>
