PURPOSE:To improve noise shield effect while to suppress expansion to the lower section of engine room, in an engine undercover arranged in lower section of engine room while lined on the inner face with acoustic material, by making the acoustic material with porous sintered material. CONSTITUTION:An engine undercover 7 arranged at lower section of engine room 6 is constructed with an undercover body 8 made of steel or aluminum plate and acoustic board 9 made of thin porous Al plate. The cover body 8 is planted at the right and left sides with fixing flanges 11a, 11b as conventional while brackets 16a, 16b extending in back/forth direction are welded to the inside of right/left longitudinal walls. The acoustic board 9 is fixed through said brackets 16a, 16b to the retainers 17a, 17b. Consequently, leakage of engine noise can be reduced while extension of cover 7 to the lower section of engine room 6 can be suppressed. |
