Method for the manufacture of a self-copying printing material comprising at least two sheets combined into a so-called form set or the like, the sheets being covered with a copying layer and the printing materials being formed by bringing together paper webs that are covered with copying layer and imprinted so that they lie one on top of another in a planned order in a form set or the like, following which the paper webs are partially fixed to one another and cut to a length equal to the length of a form set. According to the invention the said paper webs are manufactured by covering a wide paper web 2, with a width equal to the combined width of the sheets that make up at least one printing material, in web sections 16-19 of equal width parallel to the paper web 2, the web sections each having a width equal to the width of a finished printing material, such that the respective web section 16-19 is covered with a copying layer on one side 20, the other side 21 or both sides of the paper web 2, depending on whether the respective web section 16-19 is designed to constitute the top sheet, the bottom sheet or the intermediate sheet in a finished [illegible]. Such a covered paper web 4 is divided up, before the said combining into a printing material, into two or more narrow longitudinal paper webs, each of which is equal to a web section 16-19. The invention likewise relates to paper that is covered in web parts 16-19 of equal width parallel with the paper web 2. <IMAGE>
