PURPOSE:To handle plural files different in data type by one application program by providing a data type unit in which data type is described to the head of each file. CONSTITUTION:A table form data transmitted from a host computer 1 is stored in a data file 4 of a work station WS2. The table form data is transferred similarly together from the WS2 to the host computer 1. The file of a document data and the file of a table exist mixedly in the data file 4. One file consists of one table. When the application program of the WS2 side forms a document by using the file of the document data and the file of table, it is required to know the data type of the file. The data type unit to identify the data type is defined to the head of file of the table form data and the head of file of the document data. |
