PURPOSE:To prevent a defective receipt from being delivered to a customer, by a method wherein when power service interruption occurs during printing by a receipt printer, all the items previously registered are printed after a power source is recovered. CONSTITUTION:When printing is stopped at a part (1) due to power service interruption, drawing-off of a plug from a plug receptacle, accidental turning-OFF of a power source switch or the like during printing a receipt, information indicative of the service interruption, e.g., a double broken line 27 is automatically printed at a part next to the part (1) after the power source is recovered, and then the information to be printed on the receipt is printed, starting from the first part thereof. For this purpose, it is necessary to provide the printer with a data buffer (RAM)8 or the like. |
