PURPOSE:To improve retentiveness, high capacity and plasticity by making AgCoO2 into a positive electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:AgCoO2 is used as a positive electrode active material. AgCoO2 is in form of a plate-shaped crystal particle having the constitution, in which oxygen molecules are laminated between metal molecules composed of Ag and Co while being a semiconductor having anisotropy in electrical conduction and being able to obtain conductivity without adding a conductive agent thus improving retentiveness and a filling property as a positive electrode active material. Further, AgCoO2 has no structural water so as to be favorable as the positive electrode active material of a lithium battery. Further, due to anisotropy in from of a particle, an orientation property can be obtained during the process of molding press so as to be able to obtain the captioned battery with easy ion diffusion. Accordingly, the battery having a large filling density of the active material and the high capacity while being excellent in the discharge load property and the voltage evenness. |
