PURPOSE:To prevent a deadlock by dynamically limiting a timer value for monitoring a time up to the retransmission of an intra-office under the condition that data transmitted from the intra-office to a communication control means are not received within a previously fixed time. CONSTITUTION:The address information Ai of the intra-office is preset in a main timer 7, and when a terminal office is turned to a receiving mode by a line control means (LCM)3, the main time 7 starts to clock. When time-out is generated before the LCM3 requests a timer stop in accordance with the reception of data from an opposite terminal station, the state is informed to a preset counter 10. A subtimer 8 can preset a value Bi or 2Bi and counts up the value Bi or 2Bi on the basis of a request from a control logic 11. If time-out is generated before the LCM3 requests a timer stop, the state is informed to the control logic 11. While referring the contents of the preset counter 10, the control logic 11 is turned to a transmission mode after Ai, Ai+Bi and Ai+2Bi from the receiving mode of the intra-office. |
