PURPOSE:To shorten the response time of automatic receiving by validating the initially detected signal when the succeeding signal is a prescribed call signal even if the original detected signal is not the prescribed call signal. CONSTITUTION:The initial signal sent from an exchange is detected by a call signal pickup circuit 3 through a circuit connecting terminal 1 and inputted to an integrating circuit 4. An output from the integrating circuit 4 is binary-coded by a dinary-coding circuit 11 and then applied to a counter 12. When the output from the counter 12 is supplied to a counter 6 through a gate circuit 14, the counter 6 starts to count up, a timer circuit 15 starts to be driven. A signal length measuring circuit 5 measures the envelope length of a terminated signal. When the successively detected signal is a prescribed call signal even if the originally detected signal in not the prescribed call signal, a call signal confirmation detecting signal is outputted from the counter circuit 6 to a facsimile device body 8 to turn the facsimile device to automatic receiving state.
