PURPOSE:To provide a plate boring apparatus which enables the boring of a reference hole efficiently to allow accurate and easy mounting of a plate on a plate cylinder by providing a fixed member for positioning the plate on a board and a special punching device. CONSTITUTION:To enable accurate and easy mounting of a plate 1 on a plate cylinder, an apparatus for punching a reference hole 5 on the tail side 1b of the plate 1 and two reference holes 6 and 7 on the gripping side 1a is made up of a pair of positioning member 23 adapted to adjust both right and left end rims of the plate 1 to be placed on a plate 2 of a frame base 11 advancing or retracting them, a fixing member 15 for fixing the plate 1 on the plate 12 having the reference point on the gripping side thereof 1 coinciding with the reference point of the plate 12, two punching devices 40 and 41 mounted on the plate 12 in parallel along the gripping side end rim of the plate 1 and a punching device 30 which is supported in such a manner as to advance or retract freely away from or close to the center of the tail side end rim of the plate 1 with a groove to engage the tail side end rim 1b. |
